Where did the Buddha attain enlightenment?

The Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, India. This event is known as his enlightenment or awakening, and it occurred around 2,500 years ago. Siddhartha had been practicing deep meditation and striving for spiritual understanding for many years before he finally reached enlightenment after year of deep meditation and spiritual seeking . Under the Bodhi tree, he gained profound insights into the nature of suffering, its causes, and the path to liberation from suffering. This experience led him to become the Buddha, the awakened one, and he spent the rest of his life teaching others about his discoveries
